Well...I figured I might as well do a Build thread for my GTI since I keep doing stuff to it and have never taken pics (i'm lame)...Anyway, I'll just start out with this crapy cell phone picture of my new VDO boost gauge I installed today...

I will be removing the SAI, n249, PCV, Suction Jet pump, and maybe the evap and re routing all of my vac stuff so it will be a lot cleaner and easier. I'll probably do a good Detail job on the engine while i have everything appart too. I already ordered my SAI Block-off plate. I'll probably start this next weekend if i have all the parts ready to go. Let me know if anyone is interested in helping or hangin out at my place while i do this...i'll have beer available...

Alright...so the blockoffplate was on backorder, but they were able to ship it saturday and it should be here today or tomorrow. I have all the resistors i'll need as well. If I get everthing in the mail, i'll probably start tearing it all apart Friday night and figure out what size hoses and how many i'll need to re-route everything. I'm gonna try to get most of the dirty work out of the way Friday night and start building hoses and things Saturday after i make a home depot run.

Will do...I still haven't got the blockoff plate yet ...Hopefully it shows up today. If not, i'm gonna be pissed because i have everything else (except the hoses, cuz i have to get everthing OFF first before i figure that out) and I'm pumped to get started. That thing better show up today...GRRR

Alright...blockoff plate came in today. Almost done with everything, just need to go to homedepot tomorrow to get my final parts and such.

Anyone have some coolant or know where i should get some? I know ours is supposed to take "Special coolant"...anyone?

Its concentrate, so you mix it up with some water....shipping was pretty fast too.

Eh...i need some tomorrow...I just did all this work and had to drain out all my coolant so I can't drive the car till i have some, and i have to drive my car to work on Monday. So, somewhere local would be best...

I am unsure what coolants are g12, but factory and Pentosin. Pentosin is not sold in the autoparts stores anymore.

I might have some G12 in storage. Let me check. I think mine is G12+

I'm going to the dealership today after work to grab some...they have it for about 26 bucks a gallon. Which is about $10.29 per 1.5 liter...only 30 cents more than that site posted above. Hopefully (if nothing else goes wrong) i'll be done with everything today and be able to post up the pics and give an update...my hands hurt
