Many of the Panhandle import racers go to this event every year. Montgomery Dragway does a good job of preping the track. Last year it was very stick and I was able to get some decent launches for a change. Some of the fast Alabama dubs are up and running and that will attract others VWs.

Anyway, I know a group of Imports (Japanees) are already making plans to caravan to the track. We should get a group together.

I have met some of you guys at Holt. Lets go run 1/4 mile so we can have some 100mph+ trap times. Last year I trapped 112mph!

The VWs didn't get much camera time If you watch closely you will see a gray MKIV run 11.71 at 118mph. It wasn't me.........I think it was Adam from Unitronics.

sounds like fun, i went up there last year but i didnt bring the dub, maybe this time i will. the races were kewl, the GTR driver sucked.

I should TNT but i'm most likely to clean up and just put it up on the show.

I noticed you posted this event on race850 but I figured we should put it up here. Would love to see more dubs at the event. Doesn't matter if it is TNT or show. BTW, a chipped VW would out run half of the cars in the TNT.

Yes, That was Adam. He was running 400hp on pump with the 1.8 liter. His new Motor is a 2 liter with 10.0 to 1 compression. It should pull a little better now. I remember back in the day when Adam, Joe, and I were all running the stock turbo in the 13's lol.

Adam wasn't running the new motor in November? I sent him an email to see if he is planning to go. I want him to run some logs on my GTI to make sure the BT program is working right.

You guys did good with the stock turbos. I was in Atlanta then and knew Adam from there. He almost broke into the 12s with the K03.

I'm trying to remember when he finished it lol. I know he had to work some bugs out when he first got it running. I want to say it was dec/jan time for the new motor. I'll have to talk to him to see if he is going. Give me another excuse to go down and watch. Adam did the best of 13.2 in the qtr. I've only done 13.4 in the qtr. That is with the stock turbo lol. I'm still hunting for 12's on it.

Import face-off?! Looks more like ricer face-off! 37 classes and one labeled "euro". I'll end up getting beat up for putting rice under someones car and telling them its leaking oil.
